Shakespeare for Schools – Romeo and Juliet 

The Shakespeare for Schools project gives secondary school pupils the opportunity to perform some of Shakespeare’s most famous plays.  Pupils have received workshops from a professional Actor/Director to help them explore the language and plays of Shakespeare.  This year pupils from The James Young High School and West Calder High School have been working on an abridged version of Romeo and Juliet and will perform at Reconnect Howden Park. The project is supported by Reconnect Theatres who aim to create links between the professional arts sector and support the development of creative learning opportunities for young people in West Lothian.
