The Livingston Players presents The Steamie by Tony Roper, Composer David Anderson

Hogmanay in 1950s Glasgow, four generations of Glasgow women gather in the local wash-house (or 'steamie') to do their last laundry before the New Year. They share their memories and hopes for the future, crack jokes, sing songs, gossip and of course, talk about their men folk! It is a nostalgic, sometimes sad, but very, very funny trip down memory lane.
